A couple of years ago, my ex-boss once told me 'Change is constant!'. I never really understood it then, but was upset with how things were changing around me. It was happening all the time and everywhere, right from work to personal and family life. I moved into a new role at work and at the same time realized that my friends are scattered all over the world and I was all alone. It was a very difficult time for me and was hard to take it all in. Nevertheless, I accepted whatever change came in my way. It was still not clear what that phrase meant. As days. months and years went by, I was in different situations in different walks of life and I found myself drifting with the flow. I changed from a person who was not inclined to get married or believed in love to a person who is happily married and totally in love with her husband. I was very easy going, had no goal, gullible, et all. What I am today is a totally different person. I know exactly what I want from life and what my priorities are.
When I see myself from above, I now realize what Constant change is all about. May be it was maturity by age or getting wiser or learning lessons from life, it was good. What would have happened if there was no change in my life, or anyone else's? It would be totally senseless if we did not move on and get going with life! Such is the amazing nature of life. If time was the best healer, doesn't that involve change so it can heal?
People go through break ups. The reasons could be innumerous. Heartaches, anger, hate, guilt, are unavoidable. What do we normally do? Take a break. Right. Change of place, change of people, change of environment do wonders to evade these tough feelings. Change is always happening.
We've evolved from apes, discovered fire, built machines, automobiles, rockets, computuers, super computers, invented a zillion things, so on. Nothing was constant except for change!
Not even time, age, or any dynamic variable... only Change!
